As you might remember, the original deal for Hit and Miss included it’s showing on US television, exclusively through satellite provider DirecTV.  Well, that lovely day has arrived!  Hit and Miss will premiere on DirecTV on July 11, 2012, reports Variety today.

This will be Jonas’ third bow on US screens, following his success as Robin Hood and as Bill in Rage of the Yeti.

So get ready, US fans!

Et mon coup de coeur, Walking with the Enemy. Longtemps appelé The GlassHouse, ce film est tiré d’une histoire vraie, celle d’un Juif hongrois Tibor Rosenbaum, qui par son courage et sa détermination, sauva des centaines de Juifs pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Jonas incarne le personnage d’Elek Cohen, un jeune Juif hongrois qui, ne pouvant plus supportant l’humiliation des siens, le massacre des Juifs endosse l’uniforme nazi pour sauver des centaines de Juifs de cette barbarie, au risque de perdre sa propre vie. Les trailers nous présentent un film aux images magnifiques, chargé d’action mais surtout d’émotion dans lequel Jonas peut pleinement exploiter son immense talent d’acteur.

Liberty Studios have released a brand new trailer for Walking with the Enemy!

You may remember that this was previously titled The Glass House.  Liberty are hard at work securing distribution for the film, so hopefully very soon we will see this hit theaters.  Finally — although we know our excitement can’t come close to matching theirs!

Congratulations to Liberty on a fantastic new trailer and best of luck getting that distributor.  We can’t wait to see this!

Jonas as Terry Hewitt

We’ve had confirmation that there will be a second Field of Blood installation, we assume based on The Dead Hour by Denise Mina.  Congratulations to Ms. Mina!  We’re hopeful #3 will be developed as well.

Now, Jonas’ character, Terry Hewitt, does not make an appearance in The Dead Hour.  He does not turn up again until Slip of the Knife, and then…well.  We won’t spoil you.

But, if we’re lucky 2 & 3 will be condensed into one mini-series.  Right?

A body can hope, at least.

By all means head on out there, NOW!  It’s a fantastic new trailer and Jonas is AMAZING in it!  Not enough of him IMO, mind you, but what you see?  YOWZA!

The official site for Hit and Miss appears to have been tweaked a bit with some new pics, including this lovely variation of the one we saw last week.  Keep a close eye on it as we head into next week’s premiere to see if they give us any more goodies!

It’s official, according to Formosa Films: Twenty8K will be playing in Cannes at Star 4, 11.30am Monday 21st May. Congratulations and best of luck to cast and crew!

Meanwhile, The Glass House appears to have been renamed Walking with the Enemy. They have updated the IMDB to reflect this, and have been busily marketing the film to theater owners using posters with this title, so we feel certain this is a permanent change and would like to congratulate them on it!  As always, the Angels are dying looking excitedly forward to seeing this finally reach the theater audience we know it deserves.

Steve and Gemma from Prisoners’ Wives

A second series f or Prisoners’ Wives is definitely in the works!  Creator Julia Gearey has said she is “bursting with new stories” and is hard at work writing them.  Polly Walker has been confirmed to return as Francesca, but we are still waiting on news of any other cast returns.  For those of you who want to see Steve’s story out to the bitter end, keep your fingers crossed!
