One of Jonas’ most anticipated projects of his career is the upcoming feature film twenty8k.  This project has been particularly fun for the Armstrong Angels because all the fun we have had on Twitter. We discovered, much to our delight, that Twitter is a source of a wealth of information. (If only we had such a resource during Robin Hood!)  We continue to have a blast following along and gleaning little tidbits here and there about twenty8k. I go there every morning in anticipation of finding a new little gem to share – and I am rarely disappointed. There is always *something* about Jonas on Twitter either from someone he has worked with or a fellow fan.

Rarely has our little fandom been as full of excitement as we all were on the day that two very generous writers brought us an onset photo of Jonas from twenty8k.  It was so much fun to have that little connection to a film that we are all really looking forward to.

We have also been gifted, via Twitter, with several other photos that have set us on our ear with anticipation for this film…not the least of which was a shot of a tattooed Jonas courtesy of Martin Carr.  The chatter still erupts whenever that photo is posted – and the debate over whether said tats are real or not.  The debate continues as Jonas has been seen in several of his recent projects sporting some of those tats.

Below is a list of all the accounts that we know of that are associated with twenty8k.  Very soon, the people who have made twenty8k will be debuting it at the EFM in Berlin.  We want to take this opportunity to wish the film and it’s makers the very best of luck in Berlin.  We can’t wait till we all get our chance to see twenty8k on the big screen!

Since Prisoners Wives is about to drop — 31st January is what we’re hearing right now — the other day at the Forum I posted the two Steves as our Jonas A Day picture (join and the Forum and see for yourself!).  It got such a good response, I thought I’d have a little fun here, and break down the numbers.  So here goes!

I had the same reservations about S3 we all had initially, that it wouldn’t work, Robin grieving, the other guy his usual cowardly self and as he’d run the love of Robin’s life through, who on earth would be interested whether he was redeemed or not – who would even care?  Some of the episodes were actually rather funny although would have been better played out earlier before Marian was written out.  Robin was absolutely marvellous as he had been throughout only in S3, HE was allowed to shine, he wasn’t sharing equal screen time with Gisborne, in fact, he said it in the final episode, This fight is not about you Gisborne, it never has been.

And the Lion Episode, where Gisborne returned after a two-week break where he wasn’t missed.  More supremely arrogant than ever until he ended the episode by having to crawl back to The Castle under the Sheriff’s patronage again.  Where on earth did they find that toothless old King of the Jungle?  He was so-o-o-o old anddecrepit, he could barely lick his ….. Paws (?)  Yeah!  Real scary – he could have been knocked down with a feather, or a puff on wind – and those two women??   One or the other, under sufferance, but not both.  For my part, I’d have preferred Isabella over the other bossy, overbearing, jealous Kate.  The Bad Blood episode was entirely unnecessary, it was not the Gisborne show and why did his childhood matter, it was inconsistent pretty well all the way through but we expected that too especially all that was packed in to the remaining 13 episodes. Too much all at once.  The writing was pretty good in spite of the glaring inconsistencies.  And now it’s over.

I don’t think it will be remembered as I had hoped it would, the promised family entertainment, the beautiful romance, the happy ever after ending we all hoped it would be for Robin and Marian, but nobody will ever forget Jonas’s brilliant portrayal of the Legendary Hero and I don’t think anybody ever will.  He certainly did his loyal, devoted Fans proud and we love him all the more for it.  We are all very excitedly awaiting his latest projects and releases and he had a very busy year in 2011 so there is much to look out for.  Not much longer to wait now…

I went to St. Louis, Missouri, for the first time in my life.. and ALONE. this was an adventure. I am a social person, and have never traveled West of the Rocky Mountains, and never ever alone. it was weird. and fun. and scary. and weird. and … yeah.

Here I am at the top of the St. Louis Arch  I am terrified silly of heights, so this was me trying to smile at the camera and pretend that this was all high adventure (where was Robin Hood’s gang to protect and encourage when I needed them.. )

I also went with my daughter on a trip to Costa Rica with her school science class. THIS was a thrill! I went whitewater rafting and snorkeling. This conquered another phobia I have: WATER. My husband teases me that the only water I like is the water contained in a drinking glass (this is exactly how I feel about water).  Here I am trying not to die on the raft:

We also did ziplining. And once again, I was gritting my teeth to control my phobia of heights..    I am proud to say I didn’t die. This may not shock you, but was a delightful surprise for me.

One of the funnest trips I went on was just last week. We squished everyone in the car and entertained ourselves in the Seattle area (shout out to MM for her suggestions). This photo I am VERY proud of   I love the little troublemakers and I am extremely proud of them. It seems they turn into wonderful human beings in spite of the mistakes I make as a parent.

Life seems to take weird and strange turns, but then it all seems to work out in the end. go figure.

I have been having a blast watching Jonas on TV, and reading the comments on JAF. Our Jonas has been a busy gentleman, and I am so happy to see it!

I recently talked with a mother of a daughter that is a HUGE Robin Hood fan, she showed me her daughter’s writing that she does. I encouraged her to register at JAF, as I know we have a very supportive group of writers there.  I hope she comes and plays on JAF, it’s such a great community!

I am super excited to see all the new things popping up in Jonas-land. New photos to drool over, new information about his career. And you know the really great thing? The more people I hear from about this fabulous man, the more good things I hear about him. Everyone who meets him talks about how great he is, how nice he is… on and on.. all of which the Armstrong Angels have known for a very long time now.

It seems that the Armstrong Angels just bring out the best in people, consistently.  It seems that sometimes my life gets overwhelming or I have a particularly sad day, I can always count on the Angels to have a kind word, a positive comment or a funny story to perk up what can be a day that would have been miserable.

And I think that’s the magic of Jonas and the Armstrong Angels. Miracles beget miracles, positive energy produce more positive energy. This talented man is a classic, and has a following of Angels that are classic as well. He brings out the best in people, his fans bring out the best in life, and I am not saying life is perfect, but this actor and his fans can bring out the best in what can be a crazy and hectic life.

The new .com looks lovely, don’t you think? I love the new layout and the photos.. gosh. I could gush all day long. Sometimes I can’t decide who I love more, Jonas, or his classy fans that I am lucky enough to count myself part of.

Today there is a blizzard brewing in my neck of the woods, and I am so happy to be snuggled up in a warm house, on the computer, visiting with my friends about the things I love.

Yesterday, my internet wasn’t working. Wait. Let me rephrase that. Yesterday I finally fixed the internet that wasn’t working. I went a whole weekend without the internet!  *gasp* I know, it was hard. There was much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. But, I made it  to Monday morning (barely), while I waited with baited breath for my local internet service provider to open.

I suppose it might be a better idea to have a large company to host my internet, but I love walking into a store and demanding to be helped in person. Much more fun, I say.

So there I was, watching the clock, waiting to call my local service help. Thus began the four hour journey of playing ‘make it work’ with the company that laid out the phone lines to my house, and my local service provider (type this, try that).  Four phone calls and one adventure outside, and I had success! I will mention that I there was stringing extension cords, modem, and telephone wire in the snow, fighting weeds and slippery slope to the outside of the house where the outside phone jack was. Insert cheering and applause. Now I had conquered the world! Or at least my internet.

And now I have my friends again! Cheers to all the angels out there that I get to play with only because of the internet. I raise my glass of hot cocoa to you, my lovely friends!
